Many young people, who have basic school education, are thinking about their future studies and the quality of the education. Modern life dictates its rules and nowadays studying abroad is one of the chances to change your future and be attractive to future employers.
So let’s talk a little about education abilities in Lithuania.
Lithuania is modern country with high level of education. The higher education institutions are of two types: universities and colleges (non-university higher education institutions). Studies are organised in three cycles: bachelor studies (in universities) or professional bachelor studies (in colleges), post-graduate studies and doctoral studies.
Universities and colleges announce their tuition fees annually. For national and EU students the range on bachelor level is between 1,000 to 11,750 euros. Fees in Masters programs range from 2,300 to 12,760 euros and more than 7,000 euros for doctoral studies.
But some courses are even more expensive: for example, an English-language study in medicine costs around 10,000 euros per year.
For non-EU students different tuition fees may apply.
On average the costs of living are estimated to be between 400 to 500 € per month.
Mostly the deadline for applying for the first semester, which begins on September 1st is in June. But if you are from another country and want to study in Lithuania, it would be better if you apply for it as early as possible.
